● Akshaya Naara Suresh — Bronze, Asian Rugby Emirates U20 Sevens Championship, Bihar; Runner-Up, South Zone League; selected for CDS with a ₹5,00,000 incentive from the Deputy CM.
● S. Varshini — Gold, 27th National Deaf Senior Championship (Women's Doubles Badminton); ₹2,25,000 cash incentive, Para Deaf Badminton Champions of Tamil Nadu.
● Thejaswini A — Triple podium finish (1st, 3rd & 1st) at the International Karate Championship and International Open Silambam Championship, Dubai.

About Women's Sports

Over the past four academic years, particularly since 2024, there has been a significant transformation in women’s sports at Madras Christian College. During this period, the College has reaffirmed its commitment to inclusion, opportunity, and excellence by cultivating a supportive environment for women athletes through encouragement, structured training programmes, scholarships, and access to competitive platforms. These initiatives have empowered talented students to participate with confidence, develop their skills, and achieve success at increasingly competitive levels. This report examines the development of women’s sports at MCC since 2024 and underscores the importance of the financial support provided by sponsor Mr Sajeeve Thomas in sustaining and advancing this progress. His support has enabled the College to attract gifted female students, expand scholarship opportunities, and provide the essential resources for athletic growth and competitive success. As a result, women’s sports at MCC have progressed from mere participation to notable success across multiple tiers of competition, demonstrating both institutional dedication and the positive influence of consistent sponsorship.
