Data science is an emerging field where there is a tremendous increase of scope with huge job opportunities in the upcoming years. AS the need of the hour Madras Christian College started M.Sc. (Data Science) Programme from July 2023. The aim of the Department is to prepare students in the current trends with practical and theoretical knowledge about the various Data Analytical tools and equip them with comprehensive insights and make quick decision in the changing digital world.
The Departments association “DATONS” allow students to take leadership roles in organizing events, Team building, Time management and to develop them into a better individual. The curriculum is framed in such a way the students are moulded with real time exposures. Internship is offered as part of the curriculum
which enables them to get practical exposure from companies. Project in the fourth semester gives hands on experience that fuels their curiosity, creativity and nurtures them to prepare for meeting the real world.
This holistic approach will also enrich their growth as entrepreneurs or researchers.
