Financial Assistance to attend Conferences

Madras Christian College through the Deanery for Research and Development provides financial assistance to faculty of the College to attend and present their research work at Conferences and Seminars.

The criteria for eligibility for the assistance is as follows:

  • Participation and presentation of research work in an International / National Conference / Seminars organised by premier institutions in association with professional bodies and governmental organisations during the academic year.
  • A presentation of the complete research paper / poster as single author at the Conference along with a publication in the Conference Proceeding with ISBN or an article in a UGC CARE Journal.
  • Conferences attended outside Chennai City are encouraged
  • A reimbursement of registration fees of up to Rs. 2000 only
  • Full Time Faculty members can avail the assistance once every academic year

Documents to be submitted:

  • Letter addressed to the Bursar through the Head of the Department
  • Brochure of the Conference (Photocopy)
  • Certificate of Participation and Presentation (Photocopy)
  • Abstract and Complete Research Paper published as conference proceeding with ISBN or article in a UGC CARE Journal (Photocopy)
  • On-Duty application of leave and attendance certificate (Photocopy)
  • Receipt to be reimbursed (Original)
