Himana is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Journalism. She has been teaching various courses that enable students to learn and practically train themselves with hands-on experience relevant to the industry. Some of the classes that she has been handling are Press Laws, Media Ethics and Human Rights, Foundational Journalistic Skills, Public Relations and Advertising, Journalism for New Media, Development Journalism, Media Research, Media Culture and Travel Journalism, Indian Polity & Constitution and International Relations, Communication Laws and Ethics, Cyber security and Privacy, Data Journalism, Film Appreciation and Environmental Studies. Imparting knowledge and learning along with the students has always been a passion that she has practised. She has been working on a paper publication on the cultural representation of heritage foods through social media and its impact on society.
