The College has been running Child development centre namely MCC – Integrated Child Development Centre at Tambaram, Chennai since 2002 for the upliftment of the underprivileged children in the society.
The focus area of the Centre is Child Development. As on date 40 children are being benefitted through the activities of the Centre. The children are chosen based on the level of poverty irrespective of their caste, creed or religion.
In addition to the 40 children, their parents and siblings are also benefited through the programs that are organized by the Centre.90% of the parents work as daily wages like masons, construction workers, flower & vegetable vendors and scavengers. 30% children are semi orphans (Single parent). The Centre meets the educational, Physical, Spiritual & Socio-emotional needs of the Children. The staff members visiting the children’s family regularly and provide counseling. Many students from the Project got placement in Top Companies.
