Dr. M. Aulice Scibioh is an illustrious alumni of Department of Physical Chemistry, University of Madras, pursued her Ph.D. under the guidance of Prof. V. R. Vijayaraghavan as a Senior Research Fellow (CSIR). She moved on to Central Leather Research Institute (CLRI), Chennai as a Postdoctoral Fellow for a year and was a Lecturer in Loyola College for a year. In 2000, she joined Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT-M) with Prof. B. Viswanathan on receipt of her both Research and Senior Research Associateships from CSIR, New Delhi. She was awarded Fast Track Young Scientist Fellowship by DST in 2004 and Woman Scientist Scheme (WOS-A) Fellowship by DST in 2008. Between 2004 and 2008, she was a Brain Pool Scientist in Korea Institute of Science and Technology, Seoul, South Korea – the most prestigious international fellowship of the Korean Federation of Science and Technology Societies. Between 2008 and 2013, she was in the USA, as a Research Scientist in NASA-URC and in North Carolina State University. Between 2013 and 2015, she was an Invited Scientist at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) – Helmholtz Institute Ulm (HIU), Germany. In 2015, she accepted the invitation of her Mentor Prof. B. Viswanathan – Founding Director of National Center for Catalysis Research (NCCR), IIT Madras and joined as an Associate. From 2016 on, she is a faculty member in the Department of Chemistry, Madras Christian College, teaching physical, inorganic and environmental chemistry for both UG and PG classes. She has authored around 45 journal articles, 10 book chapters and 4 full books by international publishers such as CRC Press USA and Elsevier.
