Biography

I am a proud alumnus of this prestigious institution. I have joined the department in 2021. I have been teaching the following courses at the Undergraduate level: Social History of England and History of English Literature, Literary Forms, Advanced English Grammar, Value Education – Social Ethics, The Modern Period, Basic Writing Skills, Environmental Studies, and American Literature. I handle the following courses at the Postgraduate Level: Literary Criticism, Introduction to Theatre and Performance.

Research Interests

  1. Integrating LSRW skills into a curriculum and improving communication skills through literature.
  2. Plagiarism and the tests for substantial similarity in academic writing.
  3. “Interdisciplinary connections between music and language/literature, with a focus on how these relationships evolve across literary periods and movements, as reflected in specific texts and musical works.”

Social History of England and History of English Literature, Literary Forms, Advanced English Grammar, Value Education – Social Ethics, The Modern Period, Basic Writing Skills, Environmental Studies, and American Literature.   1. Presented a paper on “Current issues in Curriculum development and the relevance of Literature in the existing situation” at the International Conference on “Trends and Innovations in Language Teaching” (TILT ’14) organized by Sathyabama University, Chennai in association with Regional English Language Office (RELO), US Embassy, New Delhi during November 14th – 15th , 2014.   2. Presented a paper entitled “A Cross-linguistic Study of Proverbs in the Tamil and English Translations of the Bible: A Focus on Wisdom Literature” in the International Conference held in Holy Cross College, Nagercoil, India from 28th February 2025 to 1st March 2025.
