Mr. C. Monsingh Daniel has had over 16 years of teaching experience, having taught courses like Foundation Course English, Personality Development, Gender Studies, English for Careers, Literary Forms I, American Prose, Literature and Aesthetic Ideas, Shakespearean Criticism, Myth and Literature, Shakespeare II, The Modern Period, The Victorian Period, Chaucer and the Elizabethan Age, Literary Criticism, Critical Theory and Literature, Ecology and Development. He is presently pursuing his PhD, and is awaiting his Viva Voce Examination. He specializes in Critical Theory, particularly in fields like Phenomenology and Reader Response. He presently holds the post of President of the Department’s Literary Association, The English Literary Forum (ELF) and has enabled the conduct of Mnemosyne ’25, the department’s Annual Literary Festival. He has also recently enabled the conduct of the event The Grand Exhibition, an event that showcased the inherent potential of the department’s student community. He also coordinates the department’s film club Ludic – The Forum for Film Appreciation. He has also initiated and coordinates the department’s Choir, The Cadent Chorale. He is also the Programme Coordinator for the UG and PG student Internship programmes of the department.
