Her area of interest is physical chemistry and the courses being taught at PG level are electrochemistry, thermodynamics, chemical kinetics, analytical techniques, materials science, and environmental chemistry. At the UG level, she teaches basic chemistry, phase rule, electrochemistry, chemical kinetics, and surface chemistry. She has taught social ethics for UG and soft skill courses for PG programs. At present she is guiding three Ph.D. scholars in the field of nanomaterials. Furthermore she has guided four M.Phil. scholars in the field of nanosensors, nanoremediation and dye degradation. She has presented research papers in disciplines such as chemistry, chemical education, and education in several national and international conferences and has also received the best oral presentation awards. She has served in various administrative positions in the college, namely, Secretary of SWAWSA, Member of the Admissions Committee, Scholarship Committee, Planning and Development Committee, Estate Committee, MCC-Continuing Education, Member of IQAC committee, and Convenor of MCC Family Life Institute.
