Incentives for Research Publications – 2023–24

Madras Christian College hosted an "Appreciation Day" on the 15th of March 2024 at the Seminar Hall of MCC-MRF Innovation Park, with a primary focus on rewarding the remarkable achievements of faculty members and research scholars in their indexed research publications for the year 2023. The selection process for the awards was stringent, considering papers published in UGC-CARE List Group I and Group II journals, including those listed in the Scopus Source List and Web of Science Core Collection. The Deanery meticulously scrutinized all submissions, ensuring the exclusion of any papers from cloned journals, and promptly communicated any such discrepancies to the authors. Ultimately, a total of 71 papers authored by 45 individuals were deemed deserving of publication incentives. The distinguished recipients, consisting of 29 faculty members and 16 research scholars, were honoured with incentive cheques worth Rs. 2000/- each, accompanied by certificates, as a token of acknowledgment for their significant contributions to the field of research excellence. The Chief Guest for the day, Dr. Ganapati D. Yadav, National Science Chair of the Government of India, and Emeritus Professor and Former Vice Chancellor of the Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai, spoke on the innovation and research culture of MCC, and presided over the award ceremony, presenting the awards to the recipients.
