The Department of Social Work, SFS was established in the year 1999. The Social Work Course is very unique as the students are exposed to Experiential Learning giving them edge over other Courses. 

The MSW – HRM syllabus is a benchmark syllabus for Social Work Education which consists of certain unique papers like Business Management, Concepts and Trends in HRM, Organizational Development, and Training Laboratory for Emerging HR Professionals to equip the students to meet the advancing Industry standards. The students benefit from the Campus Recruitment conducted by the Department and are well placed in leading Organisations of all sector.

The Bachelors in Social Work (BSW) started since 2005. The M.Phil in Social Work was started in 2012 and gives students a strong knowledge base into Research areas.
