Rev. Joshua Jayaseelan completed Masters in Social Work specializing in Community Development and the first to receive Ninan John Gold Medal for being the best outgoing student. He has Five years of Social Work experience in working in empowerment of Youth, Women, children at risk in slums, People Living with HIV and AIDS (PLHA), Female Sex workers, Transgender, MSM, trafficked Survivors and Rag Pickers and Three years experience in teaching with focus on Community Development. His key strengths are advocacy, Lobbying, Documentation. He visited Chonbuk National University for International Summer School 2014 teaching the subject Youth and Life Skills. He has been Resource Person on Leadership, Adolescent issues, HIV and AIDS, Counselling, Social Work Methods for many NGO’s and FBO’s. He is a member of the clergy and works with congregational members, teachers, youth, women and public at large to empathize and help sexual minorities. He uses his expertise in Counselling - women, children, teens, and youth to help individuals in distress. He is well known for RTI appeals (Right to Information) to benefit people in need. He is pursuing his PhD on the topic – Development Induced Displacement and and Re- settlement (DIDR).
