The Deanery, Research and Development has planned to conduct the Research and Publication Ethics Course for the Ph.D. scholars, as mandated by the UGC and University of Madras, twice in an academic year. The first batch of students were registered and the classes were conducted between 20 July 2023 and 3 August 2023. The inaugural included a session on Research Methods by Dr. P. Wilson, Principal, Madras Christian College. The course was designed for 30 hours as prescribed in the UGC Syllabus and the scholars were to undertake an exam at the end of the course to secure grades. A total of 55 research scholars registered for the course. However, only 38 students who attended the course regularly and passed the assessments successfully were awarded completion certificates. Fifteen faculty members shared their expertise with the research scholars. The scholars considered it an enriching experience of updating their research knowledge and skills.
