Prof. Janice Shiji, is a dedicated Social worker with an approach to identify people’s concerns and provide effective solutions, holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work (specialized in Medical and Psychiatric Social Work) and Post Graduate Diplomas in Psychological Counseling, Personal Management and Industrial Relations. More than eight years of experience as a Social Worker gained by working as a Psychiatric Social Worker at Sri Ramachandra Medical College, Department of Psychiatry, Dr. Fernandez Home for Disabled and as a Student Counselor has developed her expertise in areas of Conducting Group Therapy,Vocational Therapy, Family Therapy and Recreational Therapy. She does Counselling and many activities for adolescents and women to strengthen their Mental Health for Positive healthy living. She is the Director of Share Foundation which works for the mentally afflicted. She has fifteen years of teaching experience; She started teaching at SDNB Vaishnav College for Women and later joined Madras Christian College in the year 2005. She has more than 20 Research papers in ISBN Publication and presented more than 15 research papers in various National and International Conferences. She is pursuing her PhD in the area of Learning Disability.
